Founded in 2010 and based in Jacksonville, Florida, USA, the Tedeschi Trucks Band is a blues rock group of 12 members that is led by Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks. Their debut CD album with Sony ‘Revelator’ was released in 2011 and it won the 2012 Grammy awards as the best blues album. So far, the band has released one live and three studio albums. They went ahead to produce their second album ‘Everybody’s Talkin’ in 2012 and later in 2013; they were nominated for the Blues Music Award. In 2015 at the Swamp Raga, they made a commitment to deliver a record without the assistance of any producer but have it produced by Trucks and recorded by their own engineer Bobby Tis. The band then performed at the Joe Cocker tribute concert, featuring alumni artists from Cocker’s bands. ‘Let Me Get By’ is the latest album, featuring ten original songs that stand as a testament to the group’s hard work, commitment, and independent spirit. Unlike most other albums, this one came with a clearer and better music identity with a generous range of feels and moods. During the band’s five-year rise, they improved their profile after continuously being handpicked to perform with the likes of Bob Dylan, Santana, and Eric Clapton. They have appeared on television shows hosted by Conan, Stephen Colbert, and Jay Leno. What started as a group of 8 in 2010 has grown in numbers to twelve committed musicians. They have so far expanded their first recording studio, Swamp Raga, which is now fully packed with the needed equipment. The group has a deep sense of American music, including blues, rock, gospel, and soul. They have a balance of easy flowing structure in their songs, and that has made it easy for people around the world to identify with them. Their consistency is a clear indication that the band will produce more singular songs that will keep flowing from the expansive yet highly connected musical family.
